Knitted in Germany
For a few years now I have had our bridal stole made of cashmere in cream and rosé knitted for Schleifenfanger in Thuringia. With our Knitted accessories made from Italian merino wool (mulesing-free) in sage we have now ventured something new. We spent a whole day in our knitting workshop and worked with the knitter on the design of our accessories.
After that it took another 4 months until I finally got my hands on the results of our collaboration! And I can tell you: you can see the attention to detail in our new bow catcher accessories, 100% made in Germany.
Merino wool scarf
The extra large scarf made of merino wool (approx. 230 x 50 centimeters) can also be worn as a stole. However, we made it knit a little narrower than our stoles so that it doesn’t have too much volume when you wrap it twice around your neck. Whether placed around the shoulders, wrapped around the neck once or twice or wrapped as a modern balaclava: with our merino scarf in sage gray you have all wearing options.
By the way: the Italian, mulesing-free merino wool (Cashwool®) is very light and soft. As a result, the scarf falls beautifully and does not scratch at all, but nestles wonderfully.
Merino wool hat
There is also a lot of detail work in our hat made of merino wool in sage. We wanted knitted darts that shape the hat at the top. It wasn’t that easy to realize and it took our knitter a lot of effort, but the result is simply beautiful. I also really like the double knit cuff with our loop catcher label. It’s particularly great that the break is knitted in, which means it can’t slip.
Merino wool headband
Our new knitted accessories are completed by our headband with a knitted twist at the front. The headband makes a really nice shape and adapts to different head shapes and hairstyles with the knitted fabric. A dear customer with curly hair who bought it from us in the store wears it like a hairband, which I also thought was super nice.
The colour: a soft sage grey
For this first limited edition, we have chosen a soft gray-green tone that goes with almost all jacket colors and many hair and skin colors. The color is really very delicate and subtle with a little touch of green. I like to combine my accessories with my leather jacket in mustard yellow and my winter coat in camel. Maybe we’ll dare again next year – then there will definitely be a limited edition in a different color. For the time being there is only the grey-green and only while stocks last.
By the way, the great photos were taken in September, at the end of our camper trip. I had taken the accessories with me on vacation and actually wanted to take pictures of them in the mountains. Unfortunately we had bad luck with the weather and it rained almost the whole time in Austria. On the last night of our trip we stayed at the Mitimino Llamas with Land Pleasures. There was this great trailer and we had the most beautiful evening light. The dwarf did a great job too. Everything was perfect as it shouldn’t have been – and I finally got my photos!
