My embroidered year. The end of winter.

I wanted to leave here a small recap from the start of my embroidered year. These first three months were rich, and I really wanted to find the photos posted on Insta and also put them on the blog.… Sorry, moreover, the photos of the first two months are not extraordinary but my crazy days prevented me from devoting myself fully to something other than my family (well the short time I had left!) Let’s go in the opposite direction if you don’t mind … Here is my month of March, finished ago a few days.

My embroidered year: March.

I deposited there 10 years of Violette and the candles of all the colors ordered in Germany, the clouds that play hide and seek with the sun, the giboulées and the wind, the cherry in flowers, everywhere around us at the bend On each path, my round trips by car, full headlights so early in the morning and I dream of a greener, less polluting car. I put our friends found there after so long months without seeing them, the piece of a puzzle, when in real one we have manipulated more than 2500 this month … What a family activity. I loved embroidering this small tree branch that is adorned with buds, do you see it? The garden tulips, love in the shape of a heart and the confinement that falls on us even if we suspected.

January and February embroidered

We still go back in February then January. To read my thoughts and some small explanations on the patterns I chose, here is my post Insta for February and January is here.

Get started!

A big big thank you to my dear Mélanie (@ginacie for friends) for all these years to watch her embroidery. Her years embroidered with her are so inspiring, if you need sweetness (who has too much at the moment?) Dive in her universe, you will find comfort and sweetness for sure.

But yes get started, and too bad if everything is not perfect right away, too bad if you grop at the beginning. I resumed embroidery very slowly during the first confinement and I already notice progress! And then what do you know? I don’t care not to embroider perfectly. The main thing is to have fun and take great pleasure in completing months after month each twelfth of my year.

A little note on the wires, I use DMC skeins that I have in stock for at least twenty years … I have something to embroider for two lives, and I am not even joking!

If you need help there are the lives of Mélanie on Insta but also the reels of Caro_tricote and of course countless tutorials on YouTube. Do not hesitate to search, you have everything at your fingertips to get started.

See you soon, I kiss you and if you want to see a very old embroidery that I have never finished … My red wire, my little love ball! It’s here.
