4 tips: This is how well short shorts can be combined
Short, shorter, shortest is definitely not my motto. My favorite shorts are short, but by no means too short. I call her affectionate my Ü30 shorts. Ideally, they should be cut high, because that simply conjures up long legs. In addition, the bottom is completely covered with slightly longer shorts. The length of the shorts also allows a wonderful range of combinations – simply turn the hem up and the pants look a lot cooler!
1) How can I combine shorts?
Amazingly, shorts can be worn very diverse combine. On the one hand there is the casual variant with a T-shirt and sneakers. The best thing to do here is to wear loose-fitting shirts and white sneakers. On the other hand, there is also the business variant for the office, as long as the dress code allows it. Here you combine an elegant blouse and a blazer with the slightly longer cut shorts – high heels are a must! Also great: Combine a hoodie and short shorts. Summer mules go really well with them.
2) What goes best with denim shorts?
Anything you like goes with jeans shorts. At first glance, this might sound like the answer you would like to hear. But in fact, well-fitting denim shorts are a real combination miracle. With delicate materials such as silk or chiffon and great pumps, the denim shorts can even look elegant. In combination with a ripped tank top, a linen blazer and sandals, it is ideal for a stroll through the city. I particularly like the styling with oversized blouses – simply tuck them into the front of the trousers and the relaxed, casual summer look is complete.
3) What top looks good with shorts?
Here, too, you can wear what you like best or what you feel most comfortable in. Loose cropped tops go well with high-waisted shorts. Regularly cut shorts are worn with loose T-shirts or blouses. A great alternative to this would be light, short-sleeved summer cardigans that replace the shirt and have a pretty button placket in the front. This summer, however, one type of top is particularly popular: tight-fitting ripped tops!
4) What shoes do you wear with shorts?
Of course, summer mules in all imaginable designs are the most comfortable. Flat, with a small heel or with a comfortable block heel. Sneakers also work great with short shorts, in my opinion white sneakers just go best. High summer sandals and pumps are the ideal choice for more chic occasions or high-heel fans.
Combine short shorts: 3 summer outfits for everyday use
1) Combine denim shorts with blouse
Well-fitting denim shorts are not easy to find. I was all the more pleased when I stumbled across a sustainable model. That’s even better to wear! For this summer outfit I style espadrilles made of denim, a loose blouse and a large straw shopper.

2) High waist shorts with blazer
For me, that would be a classic office outfit for the summer. I style a t-shirt with a blazer and high-waisted shorts in neutral colors. The mules with block heels make long legs.

3) Black shorts with ripped top
Last but not least, this is my current favorite outfit. The black denim shorts fit just as well as the blue ones I just showed you. I have the ripped tank top in several colors and there is space for everything important in the small pocket. The baseball cap protects against the sun, the sneakers can be exchanged for summer slippers in no time!
